Roscommon is the name of the new Irish American Pub Restaurant in Massapequa Park.
Roscommon is the county in Ireland where the Gannon Family's Grandparents originated. The new Pub/Restaurant opened February 23rd, 2011 by Joe Gannon with the help of his brother Frank Gannon who are the eldest sons of Frank Gannon.
Frank Gannon was the original owner of "Gannon's Station Cafe" which is located at 123 Front Street in Massapequa Park. It originally opened in 1954/55 and was sold in 1967/68). Six decades and three owners later the name has remained unchanged to this date.
Frank Gannon and his father Patrick Gannon were co-owners of the "Clifton Bay" Bar and Grille in the late 40's and early 50's which was located in Astoria, Queens NY.
Keeping the tradition alive - this will mark the 3rd generation of Gannons as Tavern owners.
