The School Based Health Center improves learning through improved health.
School-Based Health Centers (SBHC) provide services to students in the Houghton Lake Community Schools and Roscommon Public Schools. With state funding, the centers provide on-site primary health care, first aid, preventative care, immunizations, Well Child Checks, confidential services, sports physicals, health education, individual/group counseling, medication administration and referral services. The Centers work to improve the health of students 10-21 years of age and reach out to provide services to medically underserved children.
The centers participate in Medicaid Outreach and can assist families in applying/enrolling for Medicaid services.
Counseling services available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
