Rutherford Garden Club meets the 4th Tuesday of the month from September through June at Rutherford Borough Hall. Meetings begin at 7pm. All are welcome!
The Rutherford Garden Club was established in 1975. Over the past 38 years, the Garden Club has committed to helping members & Rutherford residents improve their gardens through education, assisting in the solution of members' gardening problems, stimulating interest in new plant material & exchanging them among members.
The Rutherford Garden Club also aids in the conservation of the natural beauty & resources found in Rutherford while cooperating with other groups to make our town a more beautiful place to live. To accomplish this goal, the garden club regularly comes together with other civic groups in an effort to improve the appearance of our streets and all public places.
Over the years, the club has been awarded the honor of working in the Borough Hall garden beds, the Williams Center Courtyard, Katie's Corner & by the Elks Club & American Legion buildings where we held our meeting. Recently, the garden club planted an evergreen tree in the park by Sylvan Street. Over the past few years the Rutherford Garden Club has spent most of their time beautifying the gardens in front, on the side and in the court yard of the Rutherford Public Library.
