SSF is an independent, not-for-profit marine conservation educational organization.
Dr. Thomas Armbruster, marine biologist/physician/diver/sailor, founded SSF in 2006.
Our vision - comprehensive public support and protection of endangered marine life, most especially sharks, swordfish, tuna, and billfish.
Our mission - to promote marine conservation through education, volunteerism and political action.
An independent, self-funded organization, our focus is the status of highly migratory predators (sharks, swordfish, tuna and billfish), sustainable fisheries, and marine animal populations.
SandyHook SeaLife Foundation is a member of Blue Frontier Campaign’s Blue Movement, a national conference of marine environmental groups, The Ocean Project, a multi-national consortium of aquariums, zoos and marine conservation organizations, the international Shark Alliance, and supports The Campaign for Environmental Literacy.
