Sports classes for beginners and the advanced player include: tennis, golf, racquetball, bowling, basketball, softball, and volleyball.
The physical education department is committed to helping students become lifetime fitness participants by providing opportunities to gain knowledge and skill in a variety of physical activities. The acquired skills can enhance a person’s lifetime wellness, and it is a known fact that physically fit individuals are more productive and enjoy a higher quality of life. The Central Campus offers activities that provide a foundation for a balance healthy lifestyle. The curriculum includes sports, fitness and dance activities. Classes are co-ed, and enrollment is limited for more individualized attention. Facilities include: two full-size gyms, locker rooms, dance studio, kickboxing/yoga studio, two weight rooms, cardio room, nine tennis courts, outdoor track with bleachers, softball field, and a nine hole golf course.
The physical education complex also houses our nationally ranked men’s basketball and women’s volleyball teams, and our cheerleading team. ALL games are FREE for SJC students
