Providing a progressive and unique experience in the sports of Track & Field, Cross Country and Road Running for all members of the Santa Barbara community
ABOUT THE SANTA BARBARA TRACK CLUB
The mission of the Santa Barbara Track Club (SBTC) is to provide a progressive and unique experience in the sport of Track & Field, Cross Country and Road Running for all members of the Santa Barbara community.
The SBTC has a primary training headquarters at Westmont College. Throughout the year we offer private training, group training, track camps, clinics and many other events.
HISTORY OF THE SANTA BARBARA TRACK CLUB
In 2012, the Women's Athletic Performance Foundation (WAPF) was founded in an effort to support elite American female athletes who represent the United States in the heptathlon. These supported heptathletes became contributing members to our community by serving as role models and mentors to youth. In 2012-2013, we were fortunate to partner with local organizations to provide opportunities that promoted physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices for Santa Barbara kids.
In an effort to continue and build upon the work that the WAPF has started, the Santa Barbara Track Club has been established to broaden the impact we can have in our community, while also continuing to provide a training environment for some of our countries Olympic hopefuls.
