Save/Rebuild Scituate Skatepark

Dear Skaters Bladers Bikers Scooterers and friends,

After my dad went to talk to the head of recreation in scituate about fixing some of the cracks on the ground and ramps at the skatepark, he came home and told me something that shocked me. The scituate town commitee is ready to demolish the scituate skatepark if the cracks become a liability. In order to prevent this from happening my dad and I are advocating a petition and making a documentary about reasons why it shouldn't be demolished and by doing this we hope to either fix parts of the skatepark or potentially build a new one. Even though my dad and I will be organizing many aspects of this project, this will still need to be a huge group effort for it to be a success. We are starting a petition on both aspects of fixing and building a new skatepark as some of our first steps to our goals, and later will interview users of the skateparks and the people who built both scituate and hingham skateparks in order to drive the point home. All help is appreciated and hopefully we can stop this demolishing from happening!
