Located in the southwest corner of Georgia, this beautiful state park offers boating, birding, fishing, camping, and relaxation for all.
Seminole State Park sits on Lake Seminole in southwest Georgia. The park offers 14 cottages and 46 campsites for overnight guests. Guests may reserve one of 5 open-air picnic shelters or the air conditioned group shelter, which seats up to 200 people. Reservations may be made online or by calling 1-800-864-7275.
The park office is open daily from 8:00am until 5:00pm Eastern Time, and is closed for one hour for lunch each day. Guests can find more information about Seminole and other Georgia State Parks by visiting the office.
Seminole offers canoe, kayak, and jon boat rentals, as well as bicycle rentals. There is also a mini golf course at the park. Equipment may be rented from the park office during business hours.
Seminole State Park has a beach and designated swimming area open to the public.
The 2.2-mile Gopher Tortoise trail offers a closer look at the local wiregrass environment. Trail guides are available free of charge at the park office.
Dogs are welcome on the trail and in the day use areas of the park with the exception of the beach. Dogs must be cleaned up after and must be kept on a leash.
Pets are only allowed in cottages 1 and 2. There is a $45 dog fee when keeping a pet in one of these cottages.
