Sewell Animal Hospital was formerly known as Richardson Animal Hospital. Dr. Ashley Sewell purchased this small animal veterinary practice from Dr. Ronald Richardson in May of 2010. This facility has been a veterinary practice since 1920.

Sewell Animal Hospital offers medical services from critical care to annual wellness exams, boarding, in-house and reference laboratory services, surgeries, dental scaling and polishing, and microchipping. The staff of Sewell Animal Hospital includes Michelle Denton, veterinary technician; Diana Smedley, director of first impressions; Ashley Teal, veterinary assistant and recent graduate of the Kiamichi Tech training program; and Lexus Brannick, veterinary assistant and McAlester High School senior. Regular business hours are Monday through Friday 8AM-5:30PM (including lunch); however, we are closed after 12PM on Thursday.

Sewell Animal Hospital is a full service companion animal hospital. Our mission is to use our skills, knowledge and compassion to provide a high quality of life to our patients because we understand the important role they play in the quality of life of our clients.

It is also very important for us to provide client education about preventative medicine, diseases, parasites, and much more.
