The Shreveport Photographic Society was founded in 1956 by a group of men who were, for the most part, working professionals. Since that time many photographers have either started or enhanced their careers through their affiliation with us.

The Shreveport Photographic Society has served the Shreveport area since 1956 and while our founders were (for the most part) professionals our membership is now comprised of a mixture ranging from the beginner all the way up to some highly seasoned serious amateurs who (on occasion) blur the line separating amateur from professional. The big difference is the pros do it for pay and we do it for fun.
We created our Facebook page to extend our reach into the photographic community and really all that is required is an interest in photography. With that said we would like to extend an invitation to our many friends in the photographic community to share your images with us on our page and you need not be a member to do so, all you have to do is "Like" us. Our only request is that all images posted be in good taste.
