SHHS is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization. SHHS meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday in the Signal Hill Library Meeting Room at 6:30pm.
Signal Hill has had a fascinating history over the years, from the time when the Indians sent out their smoke signals, the coming of the Spaniards, ranching, farming and poppy fields, and the discovery of oil, to the vibrant community of today. Many homes and businesses are decorated with artwork from photos that our members have preserved and a great deal of our history is on display in the Signal Hill Library. Our goal is to expand our collection into a permanent museum exhibit in a new library or other location, along with items which are on loan to us. We hope you will join us in learning about our history and achieving this goal.
