Members of the National Guard serve one-weekend per month and two weeks during the summer time to stay up-to-date on their training, in the event they are mobilized. The National Guard protects the state of Louisiana during natural disasters and state emergencies. They are also a component of the Army, so they defend our Country as well. Members of the Army National Guard receive 100% State Tuition EXEMPTION to any state-funded school, along with numerous other benefits.
