The town of Paragould and the surrounding areas lost a long standing great Christian bookstore when our local Lantern Bookstore closed a few years ago. The area was forced to shop at Jonesboro, and many Paragould residents do not have a way to get to Jonesboro or go for just one item. So God gave the lay out for SonRise in 2001, but it did not come in to play until 2013 again as a vision. God gave the lay out again and the ideas for the merchandise to carry and also directed me into wonderful wholesalers and distributors and web sites explaining the legalities to open a small business. I actually tried to place SonRise back into the former Lantern shop, but God had a different location for this ministry, On The Kingshighway (412 West). The enemy fought SonRise of course to get orders in by weather etc, but God always prevails..shipments began rolling in faster than could be assembled and priced and organized. My husband, Jonathan, and I dedicated SonRise to God, He Gets The Glory! And Paragould is the City we wish to bring a beacon of His Light into from our opening day until God says we are done.
