South Orange Village Chamber of Commerce

Objectives: Pro-Business Climate, Business to Business interaction, increase the value of business in South Orange, and partner with government for a better South Orange.

The South Orange Chamber of Commerce officially has anywhere from 60 to 100 members, depending on whether members keep up with their dues. It sponsors community events, including the yearly Christmas tree lighting, and networking events like a talk on identity theft and a lecture on how to use feng shui to make a store more inviting. The Chamber also sometimes butts heads with local government to protest measures deemed harmful to the business community, such as proposed increases to metered parking rates. The current president is Sam Tolley of Allegiance Community Bank located at 200 Valley St., South Orange NJ.
