Where will the money come from?

The endowment funds will come through grants, personal and corporate gifts, and fundraising efforts.

How will the money be used?
• To help non-profit organizations in Huerfano County through a regular grant process.
• Bring in new business through funding incentives for job creation.
• For community beautification projects.
• To help exisiting business with growth plans.
• To promote tourism in HuerfanoCounty.

How can the foundation work for me?

One of the benefits of the SpanishPeaks Community Foundation is to help you build a legacy. It allows you to give money in three different ways:

1) You, or your family, may bequeath money into a Donor-Advised Fund for any existing SPCF project you wish to help, or you may establish a new cause, such as a memorial scholarship fund. Your fund will have its own grant-making capacity and process. You have a say in how the money is given in each grant cycle. It functions in the same way a family foundation would, with the SPCF serving as your administrative staff.

2) You may make a charitable donation with a specific cause in mind, but allow the Foundation to completely take care of the granting process without your involvement.

3) You may make a charitable donation with no specific goal in mind and let the foundation decide how to distribute the funds.
