Spencer’s Jolly Posh Foods is an intimate, cosy, and inviting 40 seat restaurant serving dinner, lunch and weekend brunch. We pride ourselves on our superb, modern British cuisine and our unique selection of imported British booze and grocery items, but this didn’t just happen overnight…

My adventure began back in 2007 when I moved to America for a very special lady, now my wife. Longing for the classic flavours and tastes of home, I ditched the corporate life and started making my own traditional British sausages, bacon, black pudding and white pudding. These I sold at Chicago Farmer’s Markets, special events and to local retailers in and around Chicago.

In mid 2011, I opened my first restaurant serving civilized sandwiches and Afternoon Tea, and stocking an array of British chocolates, sweeties, biscuits, tea, crisps and more, along with our own meat items.

With ever-growing demand, we relocated to our new venue at 3755 N Southport Avenue, in the heart of Chicago’s vibrant Southport corridor. With a contemporary look and feel that represents the best of modern British design, Spencer’s Jolly Posh transports our guests “across the pond”.

It’s a unique and exciting place to visit, whether you’re savoring our Tuna Tartar at dinner, our Smoked Salmon Benedict at brunch, or a Civilised Sandwich at lunchtime. Whatever the time of day, we’ll pour your favourite pint of beer, make a proper Pimm’s cup, or simply pop the kettle on for a nice cuppa.
