Springfield Ohio West End Neighborhood Association

"Neighbors Helping Neighbors"
Improving the West End since 1984.

The West End Neighborhood Association was organized by Guy Ferguson, Sr. and several of his neighbors. Their theme was "Neighbors Helping Neighbors."

The Association grew to over 50 members in the 80's and 90's. The members had many projects and cleared two railroad lots and created beautiful flowerbeds that we still maintain today. The boundaries of this area are Walter St. to the West, Yellow Springs St. to the East, Columbia St. to the North, and Pleasant St. to the South.

After all these years; our members still participate annually in the Earth Day Clean-up, and have extended our focus to include new reasons to find volunteers like you. We work with the city to sponsor dumpsters in the summer months and allow citizens to rid their homes of unwanted large and small items. Our volunteers enjoy coffee and conversation while helping their neighbors keep our area free of unsightly debris.

Among many of our fun activities; we host a neighborhood picnic each June and a potluck in November to gather and enjoy the company of our friends and neighbors. Our civic pride is reflected in this American tradition. We welcome you to join.

We are always looking for more neighbors to come together and continue the legacy of Springfield's West End Neighborhood Association.

Our members attend monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month inside Grace United Methodist Church.

These meetings start at 6:30 pm and are scheduled March-November.
