For Veterans by Veterans
With the creation of the Post 9/11 GI-Bill, veterans all over America have begun to fulfill their dreams of attaining a college degree. The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey has taken that dream seriously by becoming one of the most veteran friendly schools in the state, and the Student Veteran Organization (SVO) has been instrumental in this endeavor.
However, it's not always easy to transition from military to civilian life, and sometimes the hardships faced by veterans can only be understood and helped by fellow veterans. As a result, the SVO has made it its mission to help fellow veterans with everything from red-tape, paperwork and scholarships to creating a community of fellow veterans that is open, friendly and trustworthy.
From a Student Veteran Lounge to trips and charity events, the SVO has become a major face of Stockton College's veteran outreach, and continues to take pride in its continued accomplishments. If you're a student veteran at Stockton College, or even if veterans' issues is important to you, please don't hesitate to contact the SVO or The Stockton Department of Veteran Affairs.
