Strasburger Orthopaedics is the newest orthopaedic practice to open in Lincoln. Scott Strasburger, MD is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and has been practicing medicine for over 18 years. His team consists of two physician assistants, Melinda Okosun and Jack Nickolite, in addition to Nicole Gandara, RN and Pat Martin, Orthopaedic Tech.
Strasburger Orthopaedics is located at 7121 Stephanie Lane, Suite 100 near 56th and Pine Lake Road adjacent to Madonna Proactive. They will begin taking patients beginning on February 3, 2014. 402-466-0100.
Dr. Scott Strasburger is originally from Holdrege, NE and received his bachelor's degree in life sciences from Nebraska in 1990. He played football for the Cornhuskers and was a third-team All-American and a two-time All-Big Eight selection at Nebraska. Strasburger was also an academic All-American and earned the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete Award and postgraduate scholarship in 1984. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 1985.
Strasburger attended the Nebraska Medical Center School of Medicine and served a surgical internship at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. Strasburger returned to Tennessee for his orthopaedic residency and received advanced training at the world-renowned American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Ala.
Strasburger specializes in complex rotator cuff injuries and shoulder and knee replacements. He also has years of experience helping patients with other orthopedic and sports medicine needs.
