Sun Valley Women provides a place for you to grow in your relationship with God as well as with other women. We offer weekly studies in the evenings and Thursday morning (with large group gathering before AM studies), monthly Connection Groups and special events throughout the year. Whether you are new to church or a seasoned veteran we have something for you! Come see how God can enrich your life through our Women’s Ministry here at Sun Valley.
CONNECTING POINT
Connecting Point is an opportunity to get to know other women in our church while enjoying delicious breakfast and hearing biblical teaching by Kim Corder and Katrina Moore. While most weeks the teaching revolves around a theme we also have the opportunity to hear personal testimonies as well as just having a few fellowship mornings. We meet every Thursday at 9:00 am during the semester before our Thursday Bible Studies. Come join us on Thursday morning and invite your friends and neighbors. Connecting Point has a Fall and Spring semester that correlates with our Thursday morning Bible Studies. Connecting Point is $4.00 per week, which includes breakfast and childcare for children up to age 8.
BIBLE STUDIES
Thursday Morning. Thursday morning is our only weekday offering with a wide variety of topics from Beth Moore studies to book studies. Studies begin at 10:00am after our Connecting Point breakfast. Our studies follow a Fall and Spring semester. We do not offer any Summer studies.
Evening Studies. We offer evening studies on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. These groups also follow a Fall and Spring semester.
SPECIAL EVENTS
We host three events during the year. Our largest event is our Ornament Exchange and Christmas Celebration. This is held early in December. Our Events Team also puts together Simply Divine – a Saturday morning full of short seminar/classes with lunch and topical speaker. Lastly, we are starting up a game night right before kicking off our Fall Semester of studies. We hope you’ll come to an event and get plugged into our Women’s Ministry.
CONNECTION GROUPS
Connection Groups are special-interest groups that usually meet once a month and will also have a facet of service weaved into them. From hiking to movies; book club to scrapbooking we have something for you. Clutter Boot Camp is also out there for those needing organization. These groups meet in the evenings are for women 18 years and older.
