Tent City Movement - Ocean County, NJ

The Tent City Movement is an advocacy organization for establishing and aiding low-cost homeless camps. This is the local chapter for Ocean County, NJ.

This page started out as the official Facebook Page for what at the time was the largest homeless camp of its kind in North Eastern USA - "Tent City" founded by Minister Steve Brigham, located at the intersection of Cedar Bridge Ave and S Clover St in Lakewood, NJ. For about 8 years, this Tent City has helped hundreds of homeless people, before it was brutally bulldozed by the Lakewood Township government, ending in June 2014.

This page is now transitioningto be the official Facebook Page for the "Tent City Movement" chapter in Ocean County, NJ - the inheritor organization for "Tent City of Lakewood, NJ", administered by the same individuals.
