Biomedical Devices
TESco Associates, Inc. was founded in 1980 as a plastics engineering consulting firm. Five years after establishment, TESco instituted its injection molding capabilities primarily as a service to its R&D consulting clients. Since it’s founding, TESco has placed much of its internal effort on the research and development of medical device molding, with special emphasis on bioabsorbable materials development and devices. Today TESco has established a reputation as “the vendor of choice” for contract research and development, and contract manufacturing of bioabsorbable devices. TESco's sole focus continues to be the research, development, and manufacturing of bio-absorbable medical devices done on a contract basis. The team at TESco possesses decades of absorbable medical device experience, providing a significant cost effective approach to our clients' projects.
TESco Associates, Inc. has actively participated in the development of hundreds of bioabsorbable products, establishing a reputation as “The Strategic Quality Resource” for outsourced research and development and the manufacturing of challenging devices. TESco has developed proprietary polymer processing techniques and equipment for injection molding, extrusion, and specialty material blending. Our processes successfully deliver devices with low molecular weight loss and low residual monomer from a broad range of inherent viscosities. This experience extends into supporting clients through product development, material selection, custom material development, mold design and fabrication, and solutions of critical manufacturing challenges.
As a contract manufacturer of biomedical products, TESco continues to focus on providing the skills and expertise to take a product from concept to prototype development, through clinical trials, and into commercial production.
