For all those who enjoy sailing Beach Cats in Galveston Bay off of the Texas City Dike
One of the best Beach Cat sailing areas in Texas. Located close to the end of the Texas City Dike on the public beach area. North beach face with prevailing south to south east winds makes for some of the best Cat sailing conditions you can imagine. Smooth Water and Gulf Winds. The largest groups can be found on the 1st Saturday of each month. We have seen numbers as high as 30 cats on a nice non event day. However cats can be found sailing year round whenever the wind calls. Some can be found almost every weekend thru the Summer. If you have a beach cat come out and get wet with us. If you are interested in the sport please come out and see us on a 1stt Sat. We can always arrange a ride and we are always willing to talk about the sport.
