Oberlin's Community Technology Center, A Division of the Oberlin Public Library
Our back computer lab, “The Backspace,” is a popular teen after-school hang out during the academic year. All students in grades 6-12 are welcome to come to drop-in hours 3:30-6:30 pm weekdays.
The space is equipped with 10 computers with internet access, couches, two study areas, two big screen TVs, a DVD player, Wii, xBox Kinect, 8 iPads, board games, school supplies, and more. We also have tutors available to help students prepare for the SAT/ACT & OGT and receive help with homework.
Additionally, The Backspace is equipped with a mini digital recording studio, including music and video editing programs. Throughout the year we offer various educational and recreational programs, including crafts, software education, and movie nights.
