Welcome to the official facebook page for The Children's House Hawaii!
We are nearing our 50th anniversary (2015) and would love to reconnect with our alumni. Please feel free to share your stories, pictures, and experiences.

History

The Children’s House was founded in 1965 by Mary Los Baños as Waipahu Nursery School, located in the facility of Waipahu United Church of Christ. The school made the move in 1967 to the Pearl City area as a significant private education institution for the children of Hawaii. The school opened its doors in Pearl City in 1968.

In the school year 1999, The Children’s House was gifted by its founder, Mary Los Baños to a non-profit organization governed by a Board of Trustees chosen for their expertise in business and education.

Location

We are located at 1840 Komo Mai Drive, on over four acres of land, in upper Pearl City. The campus is backed by its own rain forest and running stream providing a unique opportunity to study Hawaii’s natural beauty up close. All of our campus is designed to be an extension of our classroom areas.

Accreditation

The Children’s House is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is a member of the Hawaii Association of Independent Schools (HAIS), Christian Schools International, and the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.
