I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit my website and learn a little about me , and what I believe in.

An Artist himself, my father introduced me to this craft at a very young age. Since then I joined every Art club I could and found myself drawing and painting still lifes and people ...with much detail and simulation of movement. Since then I have received a Fine Arts Degree in NY in 2000 . Realizing that I was more of a visual than technical artist I went back to college and in 2005, graduated with honors achieving a degree in cosmetology at Stanly Community College in Albemarle NC, where I received training in the basics... and an education in the science of the industry. I also took an extra step that wasn't required to become certified in Microdermabrasion with Laser light therapy.
Your skin is your largest organ...and I was very interested in learning how to fight the
aging process. This is so important to know because our hair and skin have so so much in common.
Since then I have had training with GOLDWELL INTERNATIONAL on a yearly basis, advancing, and creating
my skill set and have applied it to my very own artistic ability from my past. I started out and chose a high end salon and spa called posh hair spa in Ballantyne and there continued practicing my craft with Goldwell International and Bumble and Bumble Hair care products. After just 1 year .....I realized I had a very large clientel...so large I was able to go on my own and rented a booth at 90 degrees salon in Piper Glen. And There I adapted to owning my own business and knew I was ready in 2008 to run my own salon...SALON LISA RENEE' ...located within the Mosaic salons here in Charlotte NC.

This is my philosophy on being a good cosmetologist:

" THE BASIS OF A BRILLIANT HAIRSTYLIST, OR COLORIST....IS AN ARTIST...SOMEONE WHO IS NOT AFRAID TO TRANSFORM YOU...WHO HAS HAD EXPERIENCE IN CREATIVITY, BALANCE, AND HARMONY...SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN WORKING WITH A PALETTE OF COLORS AND HAS HAD AN UNDERSTANDING WITH THE CHEMISTRY OF THE COLOR WHEEL AND ITS VERY IMPORTANT LAWS...HAVING WORKED WITH THESE LAWS MOST OF HIS/HER LIFE...AND WAY BEFORE THEY BECAME A COSMETOLOGIST."


I have to say that being a Professional hairstylist and Make Up Artist is my lifes passion. Its what I love to do. Something has to be said when a person says they love what they do every day for a living. I say this because I can remember as a young girl wanting to do my sisters hair and makeup. I would be first in line to do it for them all. I myself always had long hair so I was always experimenting , designing and coming up with new ideas.

It is true that Art comes from within....it cannot be taught....it has an imagination that keeps going on and on...constantly changing, recreating........That's the serious part about designing hair. I believe that recreating yourself is extremely important...this is how we grow. I say go for the new bold look...or even just a new style. Never be afraid of color...it will make you feel wonderful, you will see. Based on your everyday life, personality, skin tone, and proffession...let’s recreate "you".

BRAZILIAN KERATIN TREATMENTS
There has been much talk about some of the treatments that are out there...My advice is to speak to a professional ...someone who knows and understands his/her brazilian keratin treatment that they are using...and its competition. One manufacturer I would reccomned staying away from is the "brazilian blowout". Inside Edition has done a story on this overly formaldahyde concentrated product. You can decide on your own...take a look see!
