My great grandfather Giuseppe Orlando came to St Louis from Italy and started selling fruit in the early 1930's. He passed that on to his kids. My grandpa taught all his children and that same tradition continues today. Now there are 12 fruit stands currently open around the area with more locations in the works.
I started selling fruit when I was 7/8 years old at the flea markets and my aunts and uncles fruit stands. I have worked at nearly every location and opened my own stand the summer I graduated high school and love every minute of it.
