After being a stay at home mom for several years then heading into the teacher arena as a K-12 technology teacher and IT Director for a K-12 private school, I have FINALLY figured out what I want to do with my life! QUILT!

Three years ago, life took a redirecting turn for me. I began to think "what do I want to do, what was I created to do". My children were almost grown and I realized I needed a plan. I began quilting again and joined our church group, the bug bit hard!

This summer (2014) I told my husband I wanted to try longarm quilting and he said, "go for it", so I tried it AND I LIKED IT!!! Still thinking longarm quilting as a business would be a long shot, my husband decided I needed something else to do (just kidding) and purchased a 2014 Vision 2.0 Gammill longarm machine for me! Yes, I know I'm spoiled!! My desire to quilt has become stronger so here I go I'm going to Quilt for a living! I am VERY excited about my new adventure and business called The Quiltin' Hen.

On this page my hope is to give you updates on what The Quiltin' Hen is quilting herself and for customers. I will be offering at first edge to edge quilting for an economical fee. I will add custom quilting later as the business grows.

I am offering edge to edge quilting and will introduce custom quilting later. Stop by and check out my machine! WARNING!! Quilting has been know for creating the need to purchase lots of fabric and therefore creating a quilting addiction which there is no known cure. To relieve symptoms of impulse it is recommended you just buy more fabric! :)
