Lauren Waddell graduated from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she received a business degree with a double major, in Management and Economics. She received her law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston, where she was a member of the South Texas Law Review. After graduating from law school, she immediately began practicing family law in a boutique firm in Houston. In 2008, Ms. Waddell formed The Waddell Law Firm, P.C., a focused, family law practice.
Ms. Waddell is actively involved in the legal organizations such as the Houston Bar Association, Family Law Section (currently serving as President-Elect), Association of Women Attorneys (currently serving as VP of Membership); and Texas Women Lawyers (Past President). She participates in Continuing Legal Education courses, by speaking and writing materials for the legal seminars and publications. She has focused her legal practice to representing client in family law matters in Harris County and Fort Bend County, Texas. Ms. Waddell is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
In addition to her legal activities, Ms. Waddell is active in the Houston community through her involvment in service projects through the Houston Bar Association, including the Houston Volunteer Lawyers, and she is a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Junior Quarter Horse Committee/ Youth Horse Show Committee (2006-2014).
