Three Rivers Pagans

We are a Northeast Indiana non-tradition based Pagan social and networking community.

Who we are:
First and foremost, if there is one constant about this community is that we are a VERY eclectic bunch. As such, anything said here is an attempt at a basic generalization and should be in no way considered THE definition of anyone in the community.

The New Age / Neo-Pagan Movement:
The New Age movement is a broad and diverse social and spiritual ground swell in North America and Europe. It’s subjects range from the embracing of western concepts Chi and Karma, and it’s manifestation into everyday life in forms such as Yoga, Tai-chi, Meditation, Reiki, and Feng shui, to acceptance of the existence of an immortal soul and the supernatural concepts such as ghosts and psychic phenomena.
Neo-Paganism is a modern rebirth of pre-Christian beliefs that found its start in 18th century English occultism, although there are many who claim to be of word of mouth and secret traditions that are much older. At its core are the modern Druids, Witches, Wiccans, Heathens, and various Shamanic traditions.

Beliefs:
God(s) and the Divine:
Ultimately, the understanding of and belief in the Divine is a very personal and private thing. The existence of a singular God, God & Goddess, pantheon of various Gods, or benign Divine energy is a discussion that will continue on thru time because ultimately no one concept can truly ever be proven or disproven by mankind. We encourage this understanding and discussion, and thru it discussion on concepts such as morality, ethics, and personal responsibility. It is thru all this how one interacts with society as a whole that is important.

Social Issues:
“An it harm none, do what ye will.” Eight small words that speak volumes. These words find their roots in the Wicca tradition, and embody the concepts of personal freedom tempered by social responsibility. We believe that all people should be free to act, live, and love as they wish as long as they do so in a way that is respectful of others and their environment.

The Environment:
Humans are but one species on this speck of dust spinning around the sun. It is our home and our responsibility to treat nature and our fellow creatures with respect and live in a sustainable way.
