Children and youth , along with their parents and guardians, are welcome to come and utilize the free support offered during times of crisis.
Tooele Youth Services is a free service run by Valley Behavioral Health. It is meant to be used to support families by preventing self abuse, child abuse and the abuse of others, offering support for depression, addictions, suicidal behaviors and any other problems the child might be facing. Once the crisis has subsided, a safety plan will be created and implimented to help prevent crises in the future.
We are also able to make referals for therapy from the excellent child therapists who practice in the same building as Youth Services. We will also make clients aware of other services and support available in the community.
During the school year, Tooele Youth Services also has a certified teacher who is available to offer educational support for children and youth who are sruggling in school and/or have behavioral problems. The teacher will be available on Monday's for Jr. High and High School students, and Wednesday's for Elementary students.
Tooele Youth Services is a free service. If a child from the ages of 7-17 is in crisis, he or she can access crisis counseling for free.
