Transylvania University is an NCAA Division III university that serves nearly 400 student-athletes on 26 competitive teams.

Transylvania is the 16th oldest college or university in the nation and the oldest west of the Allegheny Mountains. We are members of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, comprised of 10 highly selective institutions in Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana. Women's Field Hockey is a member of the Southern Athletic Association and Men and Women's Swimming & Diving is a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference.
