Founded in 1917, and continuously chartered since 1940, Troop 251 is currently chartered by the Vicksburg United Methodist Church. Troop 251 is part of the Pathfinder District of the Southern Shores Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Troop 251 exists to provide Vicksburg area boys ages 11 thru 17 years of age opportunities to help them grow & mature into good citizens, be active in the community, all while having fun and becoming mentally and physically fit through activities found on the Events Page of our website:

Troop 251 is run by the Scouts! They plan their calendar and present it to the Troop Committee for review. The Scouts elect a Senior Patrol Leader and he, in turn, appoints his Assistant. The Patrols select their own Patrol Leaders and Assistants, and there is a job for every Scout.
