Unitech Training Academy was granted a license by the Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education on April 24, 1997 and became a fully operational proprietary school. Beginning with one program, the Certified Nursing Assistant program, the school now offers other programs to meet the needs and demands of the community and surrounding parishes. Unitech Training Academy is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Regents and was accredited by the Council on Occupational Education in June 2003.
