Race the Stairs to Save a Rescue Animal!
WHAT?
On Sunday, August 3, 2015 participants have the choice of running in a pack (3 person teams) and/or as a lone wolf (individually) in competitive timed events or walking the stairs (untimed). When you participate in a pack, you still compete as an individual–the pack times are an aggregate of each individual’s time.
The race will cover the entire Stadium Bowl, ‘weaving the stairs’ by running up one staircase, and down the other. Total steps climbed 814, total descended 814 for a grand total of 1,628 steps.
New this year- 2 Laps (3,256 steps!)
All spectators will stay on the field.
WHY?
To raise money for the rescue animals of Kindred Souls Foundation. Kindred Souls Foundation provides sanctuary to abandoned, abused and neglected dogs and cats, a holistic approach to their care, and education on the rewards and responsibilities of animal companionship.

Individuals will line up according to mile time (fastest to slowest) and leave on an interval of 15-20 seconds. Walkers will follow the last timed racer. Soldiers racing Fire Fighters, racing Police Officers, racing Crossfit Gyms, racing YMCA groups, racing High School and College Athletes…sounds like fun! Year-Round Barking Rights for the winners!
Money raised from the race goes to the rescue animals of Kindred Souls Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization and Washington State registered charity.
