USSVI Yakima Base

USSVI Yakima Base is the Eastern Washington chapter of the national US Submarine Veterans. It is a place where shipmates can gather, share a meal & a beverage, and tell sea stories... Where some of them are true.

USSVI Yakima Base is also the home to the Silent Service Motorcycle Club (SSMC) USS Bonefish Chapter. Named after the USS Bonefish (SS-223), which was a Gato-class submarine, the first United States Navy ship to be named for the bonefish.

USS Bonefish is also adopted by Washington state as the official WWII boat.

USSVI Yakima Base is a chapter of the national US Submarine Veterans and meets the 2nd Saturday of each month at 17:00 at the American Legion Post 36, 1120 North 34th Avenue, Yakima, WA 98902.

All US Submarine Qualified veterans are invited to join us.

If you are a US Submarine Qualified veteran or a family member of a US Submarine Qualified veteran who lives in Eastern Washington State (east of the Cascade Mountains), you are invited to join USSVI Yakima Base.

Silent Service Motorcycle Club (SSMC) USS Bonefish Chapter is primarily for US Navy submarine veterans and is intended to promote good will and communication in our membership and to help preserve the proud heritage of the United States Submarine Service by taking our show on the road. We are a family-oriented, non-territorial club and strong supporters of the US Armed Forces.

Membership is available to those serving or having served in the United States Navy and have been designated by the US Navy as "qualified in submarines". Full members must also own a motorcycle with an engine displacement of 500cc or more. Full members must also be a national member of USSVI.

Associate membership is available to those sponsored by a Full Member in good standing.

Bonefish Chapter meetings are held on the same time/place as USSVI Yakima Base meetings. Additional meetings (rides) will be announced at these normal meetings.
