Success… what does it mean to you? Everyone has a different definition of success as it relates to their personal and academic goals. In Academic Advising, we often use the phrase “YOUR SUCCESS IS OUR GOAL.” This means that we want you to be as informed as possible regarding strategies to maintain good academic standing, as well as ways to cope if you are experiencing difficulty in your classes. We encourage you to plan ahead, connect with other students, choose classes carefully, complete assignments, attend class, and above all, seek help if needed. If you are having trouble in a class, talk with your professor or seek tutoring assistance. If you need help with personal or academic matters, talk with support professionals (academic advisors, career counselors, personal counselors) who are available at UTB/TSC and are trained to deal with these types of issues. Remember, we are here for you but you must take the first step and let us help you through this journey!
