Clinical trials are studies done with healthy volunteers or volunteers in specific populations (i.e. age, with a certain medical condition) to determine the safety and effectiveness of new drugs, vaccines, medical devices and procedures. Clinical trials are also done to determine if newer treatments (drugs, vaccines, devices, procedures) are just as safe and effective as the standard of care treatments currently available.
Our group concentrates on vaccine trials in all age groups - babies, children, teenagers, adults and the elderly.
