Vallejo Parkour

This is tha Vallejo Parkour page.

Parkour (sometimes abbreviated PK) is a way of conditioning the body and the mind by learning how to overcome obstacles with speed and efficiency. Parkour is a non-competitive discipline, whose main purpose is to teach participants how to adapt their movements to their environment by vaulting, rolling, running, jumping and climbing. Using their surroundings to their advantage, parkour practitioners train to be able to identify and utilize alternate and sometimes more efficient paths.
A practitioner of parkour is called a "traceur", which is most likely derived from Parisian slang "tracer" which means "to hurry" or "to move quickly". In French, traceur is an adjective qualifying something that leaves a trace or a trail behind it.
Parkour is often mistaken for "Freerunning" or "l'Art du Déplacement". They are often used interchangeably even though these terms refer to distinct disciplines. Comparatively, the aim of Parkour and l'Art du Déplacement is to enable the practitioner to move quickly and efficiently past obstacles, while Freerunning employs creativity through the use of tricking moves such as aerial rotations and spins (see below).
