Small animal veterinary practice with a small town friendly touch.
Valley City Veterinary Clinic opened in January of 2011 and is the family-run small animal practice of solo veterinarian Dr. Margaret Vogt Pimm, (OSU '88). Dr. Vogt was formerly based in Strongsville through 2012, and owned Menagerie Meadows Animal Hospital for 15 years. She worked in Broadview Heights at Apple Hill Animal Hospital prior to 1998. Valley City Veterinary Clinic provides diagnostics, preventive medicine, soft tissue surgery, dental hygiene procedures and house calls for dogs and cats. Valley City Vet Clinic itself is housed in a welcoming, 1900 Greek Revival house, with non-slip flooring, large floor-to-ceiling windows and a gracious-sized exam room that pets find calming. In an era of sprawling, clinical, multi-doctor, corporate-owned vet hospitals, and mega-scale specialty practices, Dr. Pimm thinks there is a need for a first-contact "family practitioner" to provide routine wellness care and treatment for pets' minor maladies in a low-stress, homey setting. Should she identify a serious health problem requiring the input of a board-certified specialist, or the need for treatment and or hospitalization in a full-service veterinary hospital, Dr.Vogt Pimm will refer you to the next tier of health care specialist most able to help your pet. Finally, Dr. Vogt Pimm can spare you and your pet some of the anguish and anxiety of that last heart-breaking trip to the vet, when it is time to let your dear friend go. We can come to your pet's side and gently euthanize him in the comfort and privacy of your home.
