As stated in the Articles of Incorporation dated December 27, 1984, the primary purpose of the shelter is to "operate a nonprofit community shelter and aid station exclusively for charitable purposes, to-wit for the care and treatment of destitute, transient, infirm, or disabled persons."
The shelter offers opportunities for spiritual growth and provides a Christian atmosphere that demonstrates God's Love for all His children.
This shelter does not discriminate against anyone based on race, religion, color, creed, age, gender, national origins or disability.
The shelter opens every day at 4:30 p.m. - Dinner is served at approximately 7:00 p.m. - Lights out at 9:00 p.m. - Admission after 9:00 p.m. must be arranged through law enforcement or other partnered service organization.
The VHCCS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Corporation governed by a board of directors and run by an all-volunteer staff. We are totally supported by donations.
