Our mission is to provide the highest quality in veterinary medical care in a friendly, relaxed setting. Our appointments are longer than the average in the veterinary business. That's because we want to take the time to get to know your pet and give him or her an individualized and thorough health care plan.

Although our focus is on dogs and cats, we are unique because we see many species of pets. On any given day you may see a parrot, an iguana, a rabbit, or a hedgehog in one of our exam rooms.

Our services include general medicine and surgery (including laser surgery), wellness care and vaccinations, exotic animal and avian medicine and surgery, geriatric medicine, dentistry, radiography (general and dental), acupuncture, therapeutic cold laser treatments, and laboratory services.

We bought Vernon Hills Animal Hospital in 1985. We both shared the same vision for our veterinary practice, and a main component of this was having the freedom to spend enough time in the exam room to be thorough.

No, we don't need one hour appointments for our patients, but we make sure we take whatever time we need to get the job done. And since we're privately owned and not owned by a corporation, we don't have quotas to fill, and we don't pressure our clients to sign up for yearly plans or vaccinations and procedures their pets don't need.
