Verona Vinyl

A local, small scale custom graphics maker for a variety of applications, including automotive, window, interior decor, etc. Not for profit see description

Hi and thanks for considering me for your business! Here's a little bit about me:

I am a vinyl hobbyist. My operation is very small - it's just me, actually. This can have its pros and cons for us; since I work full time in an unrelated field, that limits the amount of time I have to design, assemble and ship custom graphics. So the first thing I will ask you to understand is that my turnaround is slower than a professional shop.

I have a small scale operation going on here, which limits what I am capable of doing. I do not have a vinyl printer, I have a standard plotting cutter. I can cut pre-printed patterned vinyl, but at this time, I don't stock specialty items like that (or chrome/holographic, etc) because it is more expensive than typical gloss and matte vinyls. Now, if you are interested in working with me and want a special material like that, I can order it BUT I ask that you prepay in those instances. Or, you can order your own material and provide it to me. Cost to cut is extremely minimal in that case.

Which brings me to how I define charging. I go almost entirely on use of materials. Other parts of the cost include wear and tear on my machine and the like. I don't charge for design time, which essentially leaves me in a "not for profit" classification. Larger cuts are more, smaller are less. Shipping charges are approximated and include the cost of the packaging and the cost of postage. I don't charge for handling. I will offer a discount to those buying several at once.

I really enjoy custom stuff and will do my best to achieve the design you are looking for, however I need to explain a few basics about the industry that many people may not know.

1. "Typical" picture files like ,jpeg, ,gif, .bmp, etc cannot be cut as they are. Plotting cutters read vector files, not pixel based files. Images not in vector format must be vectorized. The problem with this can be that they distort when converted. This can be a very expensive part of the process when you deal with a professional shop because it can take a lot of time correcting details. This is the part I don't charge for. But, the trade off is, it will take time. The best files for conversion are those in line art style, preferably black and white. It will save a lot of time for us both. In some cases I can recreate from scratch a design that is difficult to convert because of colors or shading ... with time.

2. Large sized graphics (anything over 23" on its shortest dimension) will have to be multi pieced. My vinyl stock is 24" wide. I like to leave a 1/2 inch on each side so there is room for masking. I don't have a problem doing larger graphics, but part of the design process will be deciding where it will be sectioned or seamed. This will also mean that application may require a steady hand.

3. Large quantity orders will take time as well. It's time consuming to cut, weed and mask lots of stickers, even if they are smaller. If you want several stickers, please be ok with the delay.

My process is multi step. Generally people contact me with inquiries, and we go through the preliminary design phase. I have designed graphics from scratch for some, others provided me a graphic to use or reference, some just want "flash" style stickers like I have in my albums. Whichever you want, we'll finalize your product before anything. This will include confirming size, color, finish, etc. Basically I want to make sure the sticker I am making is exactly what you want. Once finalized, the price is determined. I accept PayPal which is the easiest way to pay, although for those local I will accept cash upon receipt. I prefer people pay for their stickers before I cut (I don't want to be stuck with custom stickers that aren't paid for and never will be - and I have been). Once your payment is confirmed, I will cut the sticker.

As mentioned, I will ship. I have clients all over the US so shipping is no problem. You are welcome to pick up your sticker(s) from me during my business hours (Monday - Friday from 10am to 1pm) by appointment only. I do vinyl work from my home and I work a full time job elsewhere, so it must be by appointment. Another thing I offer is delivery of sorts - if I'm going to be out and about, at events, meets or cruises, I will bring items with me if you will also be present and want to get them from me in those cases.

If you have any other questions for me, or you'd like to get information from me about doing business, please feel free to message me here on this page. I will try to get back to you within a timely manner (usually within 24 hours). Thanks again for your consideration!
