I am running for Waynesville School Board in April 2015 and I would like your vote.
I am running for Waynesville School Board in April 2015. A little background about myself, I was an Army brat and attended and graduated Waynesville High School in 2005. I attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO and graduated in 2009 with a dual bachelor's degree in Political Science and History. Also, in my time in college I studied abroad in Australia. Upon graduation from UCM I returned to Waynesville where I worked part-time jobs until I took a position in AmeriCorps VISTA where I was able to work in the school district and with the after school programs. In my time as a VISTA I gained valuable knowledge and forged many bonds with students, faculty, and staff. After my year of service with VISTA I took a position at the Pulaski County Tourism Bureau where I began to really get involved in the community. I was a member of the 2013-2014 Leadership Pulaski County class. I am an active member of the Waynesville-Saint Robert Chamber of Commerce as well as Sergeant-At-Arms of the Chamber Ambassadors. I am really passionate about the local community and by being elected to the school board I am looking to give back to the school that helped shape who I am today.
