Railroad museum featuring two functional railroad interlocking towers,
an 1899 Vandalia railroad depot, Pennsylvania Railroad cabin car (caboose)
and a train viewing platform.
Featured at this museum are two interlocking towers that have been saved
and are undergoing restoration: Haley Tower and Spring Hill Tower. Once a common sight along US railroads, these towers are a dying breed, and precious few of them have been preserved.
In addition to the two towers the museum is home to a restored 1914 vintage PRR N6b cabin car, a 1890's Vandalia Railroad depot and a Big Four railroad crossing watchman's shanty.
If you like the modern stuff be sure to check out our viewing platform, which puts you up close and personal with CSX trains as they pass WITHOUT trespassing on railroad property.
The Museum is open May through October on Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm to 4pm.
Admission is suggested $3.00 donation per person.
