We are a local government charged with natural resource conservation.

Conservation Districts are a political subdivision of state government governed by an elected board of supervisors representing the citizens of Washakie County on natural resource issues. We provide natural resource conservation technical assistance, products, services, and cost share funds for natural resource related projects.

The purpose of the Washakie County Conservation District is to share and implement the visions of planning for existing and future sustainability of Washakie County through the conservation and wise multiple use of our natural resource base, coupled with maintaining our custom and cultures and a healthy economic base.
