Welcome to the City of Washington Parks and Recreation Department web site. As you navigate through our site, you will see that our parks system has much to offer. Washington is home to over 222 total park acres, divided amongst 11 parks. Throughout these 222 acres you will find numerous opportunities for recreation and fun, no matter what your interests may be. We have something for everyone!

Our Department strives to provide the highest quality leisure experiences for each and every person in our community. This is based on our mission statement: “To always provide the highest quality system of park facilities and recreation activities as mandated by the community through participatory and financial support.”
