A group of humans who enjoy and support the dog park in Washington MO. Get info and give ideas about a new full-time dog park. Burger Park is the off-leash area for Washington area dogs. It is open to dogs except Aug-Nov.
Current Park: Burger Park is on International Avenue just south of 9th St. You can access International on E. 5th near Pizza Hut, and on E. Hwy 100, above the "Welcome to Washington sign" just east of WalMart. It is open from dawn to dusk. See photos for a map. Bring your own water, container, and seating. It is open from dawn until dusk (when soccer players are not present.)
Forever Park: The Parks Dept. has selected land at the east end of the Riverfront Trail for a permanent dog park. We need your help raising money for fencing in order to make that a reality. Even if you only have a little time to offer, please email washmok9@yahoo.com.
Burger Park is a popular off-leash play area from dawn to dusk. Bring your own seating and water bowl (water spigot on the drinking fountain) . Also, there is no shade, due to land-use restrictions. We are working toward better conditions. To help, email washmok9@yahoo.com
