Waupaca Community Garden
Our garden produces multiple tons of produce each year on 1.75 acres of beautiful land, filled with rows and sections of tomatoes, onions, beans, peas, summer squash, zucchini, potatoes, cabbage, rhubarb, eggplant, asparagus, peppers, etc. -- and flowers. The soul needs to be nourished as well as the body. We have a small auxiliary garden between the High School and Hwy. 22 that contains fruit trees and other crops. There are 4 raised beds for veggies and herbs, accessible to limited mobility volunteers, located at our main Garden site.
Our organization is run by volunteers and a minimum number of part-time summer staff, to keep the deliveries flowing smoothly. Community members are encouraged to volunteer for an hour or two or three. Get your vitamin D while soothing your stress level and contributing to the nutritional health of our community. Come once, once a week, or more - all volunteer help is GREATLY appreciated!
