The WBSL-M (Weatherly Basketball Summer League) is a men’s adult basketball summer league for Weatherly residents and high school alumni.

The WBSL (Weatherly Basketball Summer league) is a men’s adult basketball summer league for Weatherly residents and high school alumni. The league has evolved over the past several years and now has: a scoreboard, announcers, statisticians, referees, a mascot (Webster the “Wild Thing”), several awards (MVP, Rookie of the Year, Crafty Veteran, Sportsmanship, Captain of the Year, etc.), all-star games and skills competition day, programs, sponsors, Facebook page, a picnic, a full staff, and several statistics that are kept throughout the season. The purpose of the league is to provide the community with a weekly, family-orientated, recreational event throughout the summer months.

The WBSL was organized in 2004 by several Weatherly alumni led by Kyle Minnick, a 1999 Weatherly graduate. This core group of guys played at the newly renovated Eurana Park, and they are still active in the league today. In 2009, Kyle Minnick stepped down and passed the torch to the new league commissioner Michael Miller and the Board of Governors Jeffrey Furmanchin, Justin Hall, and Jonathan Snyder. The WBSL has expanded to 8 teams, 2 conferences, 60+ players, and a full-membered staff. The opening day for the league is Thursday, June 7 and the championship game is Sunday, August 5. Most of the games will be played on Thursday and Sunday evenings with 3 games scheduled at 6pm, 7, & 8.

The WBSL would like to thank all of our sponsors, fans, volunteers, and various other people and organizations that have been helpful and generous throughout the years!
